When to seek help
If you see any of these, call 911. You're protected by Good Samaritan laws in most states.
Opioid overdose
Call 911 + give naloxone if available
- Slow, shallow, or no breathing
- Lips, fingertips, or skin turning blue/gray
- Won't wake up to shouting or sternum rub
- Pinpoint pupils
- Choking, gurgling, or snoring sounds
Stimulant crisis
Call 911 if any of these appear
- Chest pain or pressure
- Severe headache or confusion
- Body temp very high / not sweating
- Seizure
- Heart pounding irregularly for a long time
Alcohol poisoning
Call 911 — don't 'sleep it off'
- Vomiting while unconscious
- Slow breathing (under 8/min) or long pauses
- Pale, bluish, or cold skin
- Can't be woken up
- Seizure
